Prospective StudentsAdmissions Information
Interviews
We aim to interview all applicants. However, this may not always be possible. We require your permission for An Garda Síochána clearance for participation in relevant courses. Applicants for Health Science and Social Care courses need two references (one from your school). There is an audition for the Theatre Studies course. Please check the relevant pages of this prospectus for interview requirements.
The majority of interviews will take place on Friday March 15th 2013.
Interviews for some courses will take place in May 2013.
In order to ensure applicants receive an interview, we advise they apply early.
There is no guarantee that all applicants will be interviewed for the course of their choice. We will only have a limited number of places in many courses and will stop inviting students for interview once a certain number has been reached. We will interview as many as resources allow.
You should view the interview as an opportunity to ask questions about the course and to ensure that you are making the right choice for you.
International Applicants
The college welcomes applications from qualified international applicants. International (non-EU) learners must comply with Irish immigration requirements and must present either a student visa or a letter of permission to remain in Ireland, issued by the Immigration section of the Department of Justice. Non-EU learners in certain circumstances may be required to pay a course fee for their course. For further details, please contact the college.
English Language
All courses are delivered through English. Learners are advised that to benefit from their chosen course they should be proficient in written and spoken English. Learners may be required to do an English Language proficiency assessment as part of the interview process.
Mature Students
The number of mature students attending Further Education courses in Coláiste Dhúlaigh is increasing each year and at present constitutes a significant proportion of our total numbers. Mature students are very welcome and Learner Supports will pay particular attention to their learning needs.
