Art Foundation
FETAC Award (Level 5 – AACDX)The art course is for both beginners and the experienced. On this course you will work with and learn from experienced artists and designers. You will be encouraged to experiment in a practical “hands on” environment while you are being introduced to the world of colour, light, design, texture and pattern. The course’s relaxed and friendly environment will allow you to develop a portfolio at your own pace. Don’t worry if your school experience is in the distant past, this course has been designed to suit your needs.
Course Content
Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Visits to Galleries and Museums, Portfolio Development, History of Art, Computers, Textiles.

1 Year
ENTRY
All students who present for these courses will be given individual guidance by qualified tutors who are in a position to make recommendations as to what courses may suit their learning needs.
PROGRESSION
Successful students may progress through several qualifications at their own pace on other courses in Coláiste Dhúlaigh College of Further Education (see PLC section). For example:
1. Certificate – FETAC level 5 – Art and Design, Interior Design
2. Higher National Diploma – Interior Design
3. FETAC Level 6
