FETAC Award (Level 5 – EPATP), Higher National Diploma, BA (Hons)These courses are designed to allow students to acquire and master personal acting techniques, professional skills and develop the academic background required for further studies or work in theatre, television or film.

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA
Performing Arts - Theatre and Media Production
YEAR 1
Acting Practices, Theatre Production, Music, Voice,
Historical Development (Greek & Medieval), Make-up for
Theatre Performance, TV Production (Studio), Lighting for
Theatre, Work Placement, Design for Theatre, Movement.
YEAR 2
Specialisation in one of the following: Acting Practices,
Theatre Production, Music, Voice, Historical Development
of Theatre (Shakespeare-Post Modernism), Make-up,
Special Effects, TV, Acting for Camera, Lighting
Technical, Wardrobe Design, Common Skills.
CERTIFICATION
FETAC Level 5, Higher National Diploma, BA Hons., L.A.M.D.A.
PROGRESSION
Exam Board decision for progression takes place at the end of every academic year.
DURATION
FETAC Level 5 - 1 year,
Higher National Diploma - 2 years,
BA Hons. (optional)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Leaving Certificate (including LCA). Appropriate approved prior learning (APL), Interview and Audition required for both courses. Mature Students welcome.
SPECIAL FEATURES

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Successful candidates achieving the HND qualification pursue employment in many areas of Theatre/Film and Television industries, or avail of our partnerships with UK colleagues to complete BA (Hons) qualification.
