'Startup Education and Enterprise Development’ (SEED)

This is a programme which is designed specifically for mature students who have a business idea which they would like to develop. It will provide the students with the necessary business skills, knowledge and supports to develop their idea through its incubation phase.

The College is seeking persons with a knowledge based business idea which they would like the opportunity to develop and explore with the potential to trade in the marketplace.

The aim is to select learners from diverse backgrounds and experiences and give them access to a programme which will allow them the opportunity to develop their business concept through an incubation phase.

While the actual module delivery time will be of the order of 12 hours per week, the participants will be given access to a hot desk (computer, phone, photocopier etc..) for the remainder of the week. This will allow them to access the College facilities and resources. Furthermore each participant on the programme will be provided with a mentor with relevant business experience to help them with their business development.

The College will also seek out relevant guest speakers to motivate and provide workshops to the programme participants.
