Enterprise Development
'Startup Education and Enterprise Development’ (SEED)
This is a programme which is designed specifically for mature students who have a business idea which they would like to develop. It will provide the students with the necessary business skills, knowledge and supports to develop their idea through its incubation phase.
The College is seeking persons with a knowledge based business idea which they would like the opportunity to develop and explore with the potential to trade in the marketplace.
The aim is to select learners from diverse backgrounds and experiences and give them access to a programme which will allow them the opportunity to develop their business concept through an incubation phase.
During the programme a variety of modules in the following areas will be delivered which will be certified at FETAC Level 5 and 6.
Course Content
YEAR 1
Start Your own Business, Business Administration, Marketing
Practices, Personal Effectiveness in the Workplace,
Information Technology and Computer Applications Skills,
Entrepreneurial Studies, Mentoring Workshops.
In delivering these modules all assignment research will be directly related to the business idea which the student is developing.
The College will also seek out relevant guest speakers to motivate and provide workshops to the programme participants.
