This course is designed to provide learners with an understanding of the special needs area. Students will be given the knowledge, skills and competencies required for working with people in an educational or care environment.

Creative Studies (Drama), Understanding Special Needs, Special Needs Assisting, Communications, Work Experience, Safety, Human Growth and Development, Word Procesing, Care Provision and Practice, Team Working.

Leaving Certificate (including LCA) plus interview. Mature students welcome.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
This course aims to prepare students for employment as Special Needs Assistant in Primary and Post Primary Schools and other care settings.
WORK PLACEMENT
Learners will complete a placement in an educational or care setting.
