Throughout history, people have adorned themselves with precious metals as a symbol of their culture and as a form self expression,
today history has not changed, adornment is stronger than ever. The aim of this course is to develop a portfolio of creative work in the discipline of Jewellery Design.
The course will combine creative thinking, through an exploration of ideas and materials
eg: observational drawing, design, combined materials.
COURSE CONTENT
Drawing
Jewellery Design
Creative image making
History of decorative Arts
Combining materials in 2D & 3D forms
Business Skills:
-eg: Marketing, Patenting & Trade Marks, Communications,
Work Experience.

FETAC Level 5
DURATION
1 Year
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Leaving Certificate and interview (with portfolio).
Mature and post graduate students welcome.
